In June the Builders Association of Russia took serious measures aimed at promoting relations with regions, the banking sector and solving legal and industrial tasks. The total number of materials (both printed and electronic) related to ASR amounted to 123 in June 2006. There are the following leaders in terms of the number of references:
- federal press: “Argumenty i fakty” (Arguments and facts)(3), “Ekonomika i zhizn” (Economics and life) (2);
- news agencies: Finmarket (Financial market) (3), ITAR-TASS (2), RIA “Novosti” (2);
- Area specific press: “Kvadratniy metr” (Square meter) (2), “Stroitelnaya gazeta” (Builders newspaper) (2);
- Internet editions: “Kvadratniy metr. Novosti”(Square meter. News) (8), “Bolshoy portal nedvizhimosti” (Major real estate portal) (9), IRN.ru (Indicators of the real estate market) (13).
Internet editions (70) and news agencies (25) can be considered leaders in terms of the number of references. The share of regional newspapers and magazines (13) is practically equal to that of the electronic versions of federal newspapers and magazines and printed versions of federal newspapers and magazines (10).

The number of ASR related references in the information field decreased in June and amounted to 123 (May – 154, April – 190). A decrease in the number of references by 20.1 per cent in comparison with May is due to the decrease in business activity normally observed in the summer period.

The most rapid development of the ASR information field took place at the beginning of the first week of June (17 references), during the last week of June –12 references. The information field was even during the 2nd and the 3rd weeks of June: the number of references ranged from 4 to 9. It is important to note that the average number of publications ranged from 2 to 9 daily. Thus, the following events resulted in the dramatic increase in the number of references:
- Signing of a cooperation agreement between ASR and Vneshtorgbank
- Russian-Kazakh Forum
- Establishment of the ASR Council for insurance in the construction industry
- Announcement concerning cooperation between the Builders Association of Russia and Alfa-Bank

More than half of the information field related to ASR is dominated by Internet editions, i.e., 57 %(51 %in May). In spite of the domination of Internet editions in the information field it is also important to note an active role played by news agencies (20 %), federal newspapers and magazines (8 %) and regional newspapers and magazines (11 %). It is also important to note the presence of area specific press (3 %) in the information field, which testifies to the interest displayed by area specific press in ASR activities.
The unchanged share of regional newspapers and magazines and ASR related references on TV played a positive role in the information field development.
Analyzing the dynamics of the structure of ASR references in mass media in June it is important to note that the articles related to ASR activities dominate the information field, their number amounting to 61, which decreased by 9 in comparison with May.
At the same time one can notice an increase in the number of expanded references from 8 to 13 and a decrease in the number of unexpended references from 74 to 49.
The increase in the number of articles testifies to a greater role played by the Builders Association of Russia and the interest displayed by various mass media in cooperating with ASR.

Conducting a qualitative analysis of ASR related publications it is necessary to note that the greatest number of ASR related references are neutral. The number of neutral publications increased by 34 in comparison with May and amounted to 81 (65.8 per cent). The number of positive publications amounted to 40 in June. The qualitative structure of the information field remained practically unchanged.

The analysis of the structure of issues and problems whose solution is reflected in the ASR information field shows that in June the major importance was attached to the issues and events related to promotion of ASR inter-branch and regional relations (56 %), development of Russia’s construction industry (26 per cent), implementation of the national program (14 %). The Russian-Kazakh forum was among media-covered events (7 %).
Thus, improvements in the construction industry and the national housing program, as well as promotion of regional relations constitute positive trends in ASR activities.
