The share of regional mass media amounted to 45 in September; the share of federal newspapers and magazines is practically equal to that of the area specific press in the number of references, amounting to 16 and 8 accordingly.

Figure 2: number of references September witnessed a slight decrease in the number of references related to ASR activities within the framework of the information field.
This figure decreased by 6.5 % in September in comparison with August. The figures of the last months testify to the fact that the Builders Association of Russia made efforts to retain its presence in the information field and to its serious approach to expanding its activities.
Figure 3
The most rapid development of the ASR information field took place during the first week of September: 40 references, in the middle of September: up to 25 references. Figuratively speaking, the general situation in the information field can be called seismically active due to great information bursts testifying to ASR quick reaction to current events in the construction industry and on the real estate market. Particularly, one of such bursts occurred due to conducting a research on the cost of a square meter in regions and the visit of ASR delegation to Omsk. It is important to note that the number of references ranged daily from 1 to 15.
The following events resulted in the dramatic increase in the number of references:
- Signing of a cooperation agreement between ASR and Russkiy Ipotechniy Bank (the Russian Mortgage Bank)
- Establishment of the Construction Pricing and Expert Analysis Department in ASR
- ASR participation in the 4th International Banking Forum “Russia’s Banks – the 21st Century”
- ASR delegation visits Omsk
More than half of the information field related to ASR is dominated by Internet editions, i.e., 57 %(70 % in August). In spite of the domination of Internet editions in the information field it is also important to note an active role played by news agencies (17 %), federal newspapers and magazines (6 %) and regional newspapers and magazines (16 %).
Increase in the share of regional editions and ASR related references on TV and in foreign mass media played a positive role in the information field development.
Figure 5: Mass media structure: News agencies – 17 %, TV and radio – 1 %, Federal newspapers and magazines – 6 %, Regional newspapers and magazines – 16 %, Internet editions – 57 %, Area-specific press – 3 %, foreign press (electronic versions) – 0 %.
Analyzing the structure of ASR references in mass media in September it is important to note that the articles related to ASR activities dominate the information field, their number amounting to 125, which dropped by 53 in comparison with August.
At the same time one can notice an increase in the number of expanded references from 15 to 28 and an increase in the number of unexpended references from 80 to 112. In spite of the decrease in the total number of references it remained stable.
Figure 6: articles, expanded references, comments, unexpanded references
The analysis of comments on ASR activities testifies to the fact that N. Koshman occupies the first position among top managers in terms of quoted comments – 42 % of all cases, S. Polonsky occupies the 2nd position – 21 %, V. Ponomarev – the 3rd position – 17 %.
Figure 7: Ponomarev - 17 %, Drokin – 10 %, Koshman – 42 %, Kaikov – 10%, Polonsky – 21 %.
Conducting a qualitative analysis of ASR related publications it is necessary to note that the greatest number of ASR related references are neutral. The number of neutral publications decreased by 30 in comparison with August and amounted to 205 (71.6 per cent).
Figure 8: structure of references – Neutral, Negative, Positive
Figure 9: structure of references – Positive – 28 %, Neutral – 72 %, Negative – 0 %.
The number of positive publications amounted to 81 in September (71 in August). The qualitative structure of ASR information field practically remained the same.
Figure 10: promotion of international, regional and inter-branch relations – 27 %, visit to Omsk – 12 %, miscellaneous – 1 %, the issue of house prices – 8 %, development of the construction industry and the real estate market – 19 %, research on the cost of a square meter in regions – 23 %, the issue of the national program, interest-holders and mortgage – 10 %.
The analysis of the structure of issues and problems whose solution is reflected in the ASR information field shows that in September the major importance was attached to the issues and events related to promotion of international, regional and inter-branch relations (27 per cent); conducting a research on the cost of a square meter in regions (23 per cent); development of the construction industry and the real estate market (19 per cent); the visit of ASR delegation to Omsk (12 per cent).
Thus, development of the construction industry, promotion of international and regional relations and implementation of the national housing program constitute positive trends in ASR activities.
